What do you enjoy about being at NWSS?
We make a family vacation out of the stock show, we really enjoy seeing old friends and meeting new breeders from across the country in the yards. The display weekend is a one of kind event and we are extra excited to bring our top prospects for live inspection each year.
What is your favorite part about being involved in the Club Calf industry?
The constant effort to get better and improve is our goal. With each year that passes you get to see how a favorite bull or genetic line breeds and makes a mark within a breeder’s herd or at a national show.
What is your favorite Sullivan Supply Product?
We use a lot of the hair conditioning products such as Revive and we are happy with the increased healthy appearance of the skin and hair after using these products.
You have established yourself as a leading source of information for the club calf industry and can be credited with bringing the show cattle industry to a national stage. Why do you feel it is important to provide the services you do for this industry?
First off, the Pulse has made it easier for us to gather show winner pictures so we thank Sullivan Supply for all their hard work. We also enjoy posting sale pictures and winners from breeder’s that we work closely with. It is difficult to run ads in print magazines and stay as up to the minute as www.mattlautnercattle.com allows us. What is your biggest reward from working within this industry?
My wife and I enjoy raising our daughter and our soon to be born son in the agriculture & livestock environment. We have met some truly extraordinary people and we can’t wait for what the future holds for the entire show industry. We couldn’t ask for a better way of living.
