Junior National Health Requirements – From American Shorthorn Association
Unfortunately there have been many junior Chi and Maine exhibitors disqualified from the show due to strict health requirements. Please read this message below from the American Shorthorn Association!
The state vets in Kentucky are very strict in enforcing their rules and we understand they are just doing their job, but want to give everyone the heads up warts and ringworm with out hair showing through will NOT be allowed. If any of your cattle has either of these they will not be allowed in the barns. (This has been a Jr National Announcement.) Shared from the National Junior Shorthorn Show and Youth Conference Facebook page!

The long journey to Louisville!
From the Dragstrem Family…
It’s been a REALLY long day! Saturday and Sunday seemed to run together. We left home at 2:30 this morning to head down to Louisville. Saturday was spent loading the trailer and finished packing everything else we needed. With not a lot of sleep we finally made it to Junior Nationals! With everything set up and finally ready to go for the week we were able to wash calves then sit down and relax and enjoy the company of our peers. We are looking forward to a great week of showing and fellowship with other breeders.

Dragstrem Family – Wash Day
Wow! Hard to believe that there is only a couple of days left until we will be heading to Louisville for the 2014 Shorthorn, Maine, and Chi Junior Nationals.
Today was a day of washing and clipping for Allison and I, as mom and dad made the road trip to Louisville to set up the stalls and tie outs.
We are wishing everyone safe travels to Junior Nationals!!!
